Monday and Tuesday

 Monday 4th

Despite the missing hour we were up for breakfast at 08:00 as we were having a run ashore. After we’d eaten we took the shuttle bus to Blankenburg. A pretty little town, not much here apart from the church of St Antonio’s, the interior of which is probably the most beautiful I’ve ever witnessed. We wandered around the town and I managed to get my obligatory picture of a tram. We then took the shuttle bus back to the ship and went straight up to lunch.

After lunch we went and changed into swim wear and went back up to deck 11 where we had a go on the AquaDuck water slide (Goggle it)It is a slide in a tunnel, part of which is in complete darkness, you go through the ship’s funnel and drop four decks. It’s really good fun and exciting. The hardest part for Val and I is getting in and out of the rubber raft. However typical of Disney staff they are so kind and patient. We then sat in the hot sun and dried off whilst watching a film.

It then became time to change for dinner.

I am sorry this particular blog is a bit piecemeal but I have to take advantage of t’internet as when I can get it. Also I still can’t get photos to load.

Unfortunately I missed the post Monday ( out of 4G range) so I can continue with the events of that evening. We dined in the Enchanted Garden restaurant, same table number, same waiting staff but a totally different ambience. We then went to the theatre to see a juggling act with with a comedy theme. He was really cleaver and really funny. We then spoke to the cruise director and discovered we have a mutual friend. We spent ages talking to her before we retired to our cabin.

Tuesday 5th

We woke and went for breakfast after which we had a walk around to explore the ship. Wow so much going on. We found a place for a photo op and we couldn’t resist it. Judging by some of the poses we had to perform no doubt there’ll be some special effects added. I continued my exploration the joined Val for lunch. After we’d eaten we did some more shopping then found ourselves poolside relaxing under a clear blue sky. It was a formal night so we attended the restaurant me in my DJ Val in her posh frock. As is my want, I wore my miniature medals, little girl approached our table, gave me two bags of goodies and said,

“Thank you for your service” Isn’t that sweet we then started talking to her parents. After our meal we went the the theatre and witness a magnificent production of Beauty and the Beast. We then went to the Purser’s office to discuss our next Disney cruise on a date to be specified. We then returned to the cabin. Hopefully when we arrive in Copenhagen I’ll get a signal to post this, sorry I still can’t seem to load photos.
