Stravanger
Stravanger.
We were due to dock late morning so expected a lie in but that wasn’t the case so we decided to do up on the sun deck and relax. We we in the port Mekjarvik. As it was quite chill we asked for a blanket each. As the morning wore on so it became warmer. The team had been let down by local operators consequently there were a number of people waiting to go ashore. I looked over side and saw buses and a queue so we went down and joined. It was mayhem, most unlike Disney . The coaches started to arrive and we transferred to Stravanger. It was a pretty little Nordic town where managed to get a few gifts. We were both tired following our unexpected call so after a couple of hours we caught the coach back to the ship. We had lunch by now the temperature was really hot.
We went and had lunch then repacked and waited for the others to return before we could set off. Once we were under way we changed for dinner. Another glorious meal.followed by terrific entertainment. The following day l(Friday 9th September), we found ourselves sailing through fog but we continued to make progress. Mid afternoon we sorted out our luggage ready for collection the we went and sat outside making the most of our last day. It came time to prepare for dinner and put the cases outside for collection. We proceeded to the dining room and at our table was a piece of paper with a drawing on it which we had to colour in. At the end of the evening ours, and all those of the diners, were animated to Sorcerer’s Apprentice really cleaver and a brilliant climax to a Disney week. We then went to theatre for the final show of the week.
Sunday 10th up early, vacated the cabin and went down for breakfast. After we’d eaten we went midships and waited to disembark. We walked off the ship, collected our luggage and cleared customs. We then took transport to our car. We loaded it up and drove home having had a really lovely time.
This should be the last blog of the trip and hopefully I’ve managed to load photos. On the final display.
First is the bridge that connects Denmark and Sweden. Second is formal night with the crew wearing their number ones. Then the Atrium. Selfie, our cabin. Finally being welcomed to a restaurant.
