Stravanger. We were due to dock late morning so expected a lie in but that wasn’t the case so we decided to do up on the sun deck and relax. We we in the port Mekjarvik. As it was quite chill we asked for a blanket each. As the morning wore on so it became warmer. The team had been let down by local operators consequently there were a number of people waiting to go ashore. I looked over side and saw buses and a queue so we went down and joined. It was mayhem, most unlike Disney . The coaches started to arrive and we transferred to Stravanger. It was a pretty little Nordic town where managed to get a few gifts. We were both tired following our unexpected call so after a couple of hours we caught the coach back to the ship. We had lunch by now the temperature was really hot. We went and had lunch then repacked and waited for the others to return before we could set off. Once we were under way we changed for dinner. Another glorious meal.followed by t...

Monday 4th Despite the missing hour we were up for breakfast at 08:00 as we were having a run ashore. After we’d eaten we took the shuttle bus to Blankenburg. A pretty little town, not much here apart from the church of St Antonio’s, the interior of which is probably the most beautiful I’ve ever witnessed. We wandered around the town and I managed to get my obligatory picture of a tram. We then took the shuttle bus back to the ship and went straight up to lunch. After lunch we went and changed into swim wear and went back up to deck 11 where we had a go on the AquaDuck water slide (Goggle it)It is a slide in a tunnel, part of which is in complete darkness, you go through the ship’s funnel and drop four decks. It’s really good fun and exciting. The hardest part for Val and I is getting in and out of the rubber raft. However typical of Disney staff they are so kind and patient. We then sat in the hot sun and dried off whilst watching a film. It then became time to change for dinner...
